Changing the password on a PAP2

NOTE: after changing the password on the PAP2, you will be unable to connect to the PBX until the password is changed there as well.  It is important to open a support ticket with the new password.

To change the password on a Linksys PAP2:

1. Pick up the phone connected to the PAP2 and dial **** followed by 110#.  This will read off the IP.  Enter this IP in a web browser.
2. Click the "Admin Login" link in the top right corner.
3. Click the "Line 1" tab at the top of the page.
4. Under Password, set a new password.  This can include both letters and numbers, and should be at least 6 characters long.  Simple passwords, such as 1234, can allow malicious third parties to connect to your PBX and make long distance calls (usually scams) at your expense.
5. Click "Save Settings" at the bottom of the screen.  The PAP2 will reboot.

Do not change any other settings.  Incorrect settings will prevent your phone from working.
